Extension Educator, Natural Resources, Environment and Energy (NREE)
The Extension Educator coordinates educational programs in Natural Resource Conservation, Environmental Awareness, and Energy Sustainability in Des Plaines, IL. Programmatic focus includes the management and conservation of natural resources (e.g., rivers, forests, prairies), environmental quality (e.g., pollution, waste management, climate resilience), and sustainable energy practices. The role involves developing and delivering research-based programs and materials for diverse audiences and supporting volunteer initiatives such as the Master Naturalist, Climate Stewards, and Master Watershed Stewards programs. The Educator will collaborate with campus faculty, community stakeholders, and statewide teams, while maintaining strong networks across the region.
